I notice that the common theme in both of your lists is India...I think there are probably too many to pick..best leave Wisden to waide through it all & make a mess of it.

I think the last Natwest Series between Ind-Eng-Srl was superb too. The one dayer between England and Sri Lanka in AUS when Jayawardene scored a century was great too. Too many to tell but can't remember any:P

Of all those that I have seen live, I'd have to say:

India v Pakistan (India need 315 to win, Ganguly scored 127, Kanitkar hits the winners with 3 required off 2 balls) - 'twas the game that sparked my love of cricket.

Australia v SouthAfrica (WC99, SF) (Waugh's century was a classic, indeed)

India v Pakistan (WC2003) Quite a spectacle, indeed. This was the first match I saw in 3 years (after moving to the USA) and boy was I lucky to be treated to such a come-back :P

Nah, Martyn's terrible batting ruined that game for me ;)

Mind you it was a ground breaking time in Cricketweb's history with the live coverage.

Zim Vs Aus CUB series a few years ago was a great game.

I would have to say 1999 WC semi Final though.

In no particular order:-

1/ England v Australia in the 2003 WC was great for about 75% of the match.

2/ The whole Australia v WI ODI series in 1999 (bar the crowd incidents)

3/ 1999 WC SF - Aus v SA - my all time fav.

4/ The whole India v WI ODI series in 2002 (bar the crowd incidents)

5/ Singapore Challenge Final (1999?)- Powell 124 v India. An incredible innings of clean and brutal hitting.

4. I was praying for Sarwan to hit that 4 in that series. If WI had lost that match, it would have been a big controversy.

5. That was a great innings too but sadly it was against India :!(

I really enjoyed W.I. vs South Africa WC 2003.

Probably because it was first ODI I'd listened to fully before and the monster hitting by Powell (40 off 18) and Sarwan (32 off 15) and the marvelous century by Lara. Then good old Zulu livened things up a bit after it looked over as a win for W.I. with a rather lively 57 off 48 balls. West Indies won by 3 runs.

Also there's one of the ODI games last year I went to, England vs Sri Lanka, Freddie hit the quickest fifty by an England player. Can't remember much after that because of the free Scrumpy's they were handing out.

Damn pretty women with their alcohol tank backpacks :D

How's about both brutal and classic?

1984, Texaco Trophy, England v Richa sorry West Indies, Old Trafford.

One of the greatest one day innings of all time by anyone anywhere IMO - under the circumstances, the Ponting WC2003 knock doesn't come close (great though it was).

The rest of the match wasn't too hot - after Viv, it was too one-sided to qualify as a great match, but I can still see some of Richards' shots in my mind's eye.

his 189...right? One hell of an innings....one hell of a match...

Another incredible match was the Sharjah one (India vs Pak) where Miandad hit a magnificient century and that famous last ball six off Chetan Sharma....

Tendulkar's 2 centuries against Australia at Sharjah.....
