28* from 18 balls is an epic effort. Nowhere near good enough to be opening in One Day cricket, but I'm happy with him doing a job smacking boundaries down at 7. Just need to get the 6 above him right.

Yeah, Adil at least showing some batting ability.

I agree that there could be a couple of changes in our batting. But you've got to pick guys who do a variety of things. I don't see a problem with Strauss, Bopara, Collingwood or Wright.

I think all I'd do then is potentially swap the keeper (although I would in some ways like to see Prior have a settled run in a certain position), and definitely swap Shah (presumably that would be for Trott).

24 from 2 shows how poor Strauss's decision was to take the batting power play this late...

He should have taken that atleast 8-10 overs earlier with Shah and Colly batting!

Bopara is like a crap version of Ian Bell, that's the problem with him.

Wtf was Bopara doing all his innings?

Batted through 15 overs of power plays, yet ended up with a strike rate of 55 ffs.

Get him back to Essex and leave him there!

You want to swap the guy who scored 40 runs at the SR of 83? Strangely biased opinion!

Disagree with that. I think he's a good one-day player. Although definitely not in good form.

And a crap version of Ian Bell is like a polished turd.

I can't wait for Kieswetter to be English, I really can't.

Funny how his 'good form' and 'bad form' seem to coincide with whether he's playing for Essex or England respectively.

Odd decision from Clarke to bring on Watto. I would have expected Johnson, Lee, Bracken and Hopes to all be preferred in this situation.

I like Luke Wright. Definitely a better finisher than opener.

Good pace from Watson, he's going to injure himself. 92mph that last one.

Clarke's making a complete pigs ear of this over. He's changed the field so many times the bowler doesn't know what's going on.

Davies [ w/k ]
Strauss [ c ]
Trott
Shah
Collingwood
Flintoff [ When he is fit ]
Wright
Broad
Swann
Rashid / Sidebottom / Bresnan etc etc
Anderson

Looks more balanced team than the one playing at the moment!
