***Official*** Bangladesh in Zimbabwe

I love how Zimbabwe A or Zimbabwe Select XI has just become synonymous with a full Zimbabwe side. I guess they need some kind of match practice at the moment though.

All the same, poor performance. We better smash this lot on Sunday.

That Zimbabwe A team wasn't anywhere near full strength TBH.

Good knock from Mutizwa in that match, seems a promising bat though yet to be tested against proper international attacks.

Coventry and Vermeulen came back to domestic cricket this year and while they haven't dominated, they certainly strengthen the line-up. Apparently Vermeulen has been very conscientious and helpful in training sessions as well as paying for some of the damage he caused (as he can afford it- never been badly off, that family), so he earned himself another go. I've always felt Chibhabha is a good player and again strengthens the team. Hopefully it won't be easy for Bangladesh.

I hope that after their win against the "West Indies" the Zimbos bring this sorry crowd back down to earth.. I guess beating a half strength Zimbabwe side would give them even more false cause for celebration..

Half-strength? Taibu aside, it looks like Zim's strongest side for years.

I'll fancy them to take a game or two, Price to star with the ball and hopefully Williams and Hamilton with the bat. Taylor has had more comebacks than Cher, must be his third U-turn in the past eighteen months.

Mark Vermeulen is already on 18* on fire apparently.

Rasel looks like his first over was superb!

How highly do any of the Zimbabwe fans rate Graeme Cremer? Looks like he has a decent FC record.

Yeah, very promising bowler (despite what Neil says :p) and a somewhat capable bat too. This isn't his format though and I fully expect him to get hammered. Zimbabwe have picked zero specialist quicks for this game so what happens with the bowling will be interesting. Don't be surprised if Utseya opens.

Anyone know why the Zimbabwe players are wearing black arm bands? Apart from the death of democracy and all that

Blazing away.
He is setting it alight out there

I'm amazed at how young some of these Zimbabwean players are, seems like they have been around forever. And HB to Hamilton Masakadza who is now 26.
