Key Ashes Figures as Harry Potter Characters

Shri

Mr. Glass
Mitchell Johnson = Lupin. Becomes ****/werewolf/dead when people want him to do something useful.

International Coach
Nathan Hauritz can be Luna - Everyone thought that they would be useless, but they come up with the goods when it really matters.

Lord Voldepunter's horcuxes :

Micheal Clarke (trusted leiutenant and second in command)
Mike Hussey (made as Horcrux following the earlier one's (Symonds') incapability to handle himself)(Explains why he is persisted with regardless of the terrible run in the last year and half)
Tim Neilsen (Coach and co conspirator)
Mitchell Johnson (Nuff said)
Steve Bucknor (Sydney 2008 - where admittedly the charms got a tad intertwingled that Punter himself started giving marching orders to the visiting batsmen)
Andrew Symonds (safely relocated somewhere in the waters of Queensland)

Jamees got this all backwards.

Ricky Ponting - Harry Potter. was just a kid when he first had fight. Natural leader, the man for a crisis.
Allan Border - Dumbledore. Was instrumental in ending the long period when terror and evil ruled. Potter's achievements finally overshadowed him.
Michael Clarke - Ron Weasley. Got the girl, grew into the role. Harry needs him.
Michael Hussey - Dobby. Initially was a massive help to Harry, less so as time went on.
Shane Watson - Neville. Everyone laughed at him all the way through, but he's going to end up one of the real heroes.
Katich - Prof Lupen. Everyone loves him, but he's unnervingly hairy and prone to sudden snaps where he goes feral.
Nathan Hauritz - Luna. Everyone thinks he's a joke, and some remain dubious, but turns out to be a big help.
McGrath and Warne - Fred and George Weasley - a couple of legends who were a bit older than the other kids and who left the
place poorer when they dropped out. Always good value for a laugh, and we're left hoping their show up at the end to help save the heroes.
Phil Hughes - Cedric. Everyone thought he was a hero, but Voldemort knocked him off pretty quickly.
Mitch Johnson. Mad Eye. Arrived with a massive rep. Has turned out to be an imposter.
Pete Siddle - one of the older Weasleys. Red hair, useful when the show up, but not around enough.
Andrew McDonald - Ginny Weasley. Has some real fans, and Ponting loves what he brings, but most wonder what the fuss is about.
Hilfy - Hagrid.

On the other side:
Flintoff - Voldemort. Weren't you dead?
Strauss - Lucius Malfoy. The squeezer running things when V. can't. No real substitute.
Ian Bell - Draco Malfoy. Tries to be tough, but is full of fail.
Jimmy Anderson and Graham Onions - Crabb and Goyle. Scary if they get a hold of you, but largely serve as comic relief.
Pietersen - Fenrir Greyback. Just a ****. Bit of a lone wolf.
Stuart Broad - Bellatrix l'Estrange. Horrible, but superficially attractive if you're into that kind of thing. Possibly having it off with Voldemort.

Brilliant Matt, really enjoyed that.

Broad's would make more sense if Strauss was Voldermort, mind
