Who Cares ?? Anyways, I will try again, The importance of Sunny | Specials | Cricinfo Magazine | Cricinfo.com

It's almost 22 years since he retired, but memories of his exploits are still fresh. He arrived with a bang in 1970-71, scoring 774 runs in his debut Test series (still a record), and finished with a flourish, scoring 96 in his last Test innings, a century in his last first-class match, and a maiden hundred in his penultimate one-day game - all in 1987, at age 38. He retired as he always wanted to: when people asked why, not why not.

It is amazing how people let their emotions completely engulf their reasoning. Why does admiration for a cricketer or for what his achievements on the cricket field meant for a whole generation of fans have to extend to deification to a level where one cant say a word against them. One may be a great cricketer and also a great guy. Another may be an even greater cricketer but not such a great guy. Yet another may be the greatest cricketer of all time and an absolute a******** . Why does a players attributes as a cricketer have to obviate his deficiencies, if any, as a person?

And what's wrong in criticising a cricketer, howsoever great. None of them were perfect, howsoever great, and thank heavens for that.

Yeah go and try saying people that (on their B'day) you are great at what you but you are **** as a person even though I dont know you personally. There is nothing wrong, obviously.

Gavaskar probably has many flaws like each one of us, but for god's sake do not start bringing it up in every discussion. You have made your point countless times on this forum itself.

Sledger's Army is here to staaaay
Sledger's Army are on their waaay
one might say that he is having a negative effect on the atmosphere of the forum
Now you're just trolling. And unnecessarily attacking posters for perfectly good posts.
It's quite clear why you lot come to these forums and start throwing your toys around when one of you gets banned for doing what you do best.
