does anyone remember or have a link to when Warne went for 100 on the first day of one of the 2005 tests (edgbaston?) and received a standing ovation? One of the highlights of that series for me!

It was Old Trafford, he only made 42 at Edgbaston (where he stood on his stumps).

I believe the thread starter intended 2nd Test: England v Australia at Birmingham, Aug 4-7, 2005 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com. Warne did indeed go for 100 on the first day; but was the only bowler who kept Australia in the match. The ball he dismissed Strauss with whilst attempting to cut was brilliant.
