Since the early 90's I can recall.

Emery, Young, Phillips, McGain, Cullen, Nicholson, Law, Rogers, Bollinger, Casson and Wilson.

Not sure if I missed any. That is enough to make an XI, too many bowlers though.

Bizzare one, but Subroto Banerjee debuted against Australia at Sydney in the 91-92 series, returned good figures of 3-46 in the first innings, was not bowled in the second innings (!) and never ever played a test again for India!!

Yet another Banerjee, Shute Banerjee played the only test in 1949 against WI, took 5 wickets @ 25, and was forgotten. He ended his career with 385 FC wickets @ 26.

The man who score 124 against Surrey in 1946 from number 11 - Sarwate at number 10 got a century as well - It was certainly the first time that 10 and 11 had both scored centuries and I don't think it's been done since

    Great fact.

BTW why do you always have to bring up Old Father Tate, fred? Bit of a sore point. Earlier on today I briefly thought of trying to stitch together a Sussex One-Cap Wonder team - with Fred Tate as skipper and Tony Pigott vice-captain - but gave up after about 6 or 7.

Sorry Mr Z - can't recall mentioning him before - shouldn't be a sore point though - as a fellow Fred I have a great deal of respect for Fred Tate who quite wrongly got the blame for Englands sorry defeat at Old Trafford

It was a freak occurrence, of course, that the game was not abandoned without a ball being bowled

Mine is the greatest soccer player who ever lived - though I doubt he was ever accused of being a gentleman - Robin Friday

    Whoa, Interesting indeed!

My gosh, that's movie material. J Depp would be fantastic playing this guy.
