    QLD may cut loose symmonds.

Symonds, who turns 34 next week, will arrive home in Brisbane early this morning where he will do his best to sidestep the waiting media throng before spending time with his friends and family to contemplate his future.

Symonds' international career has ended and the Queensland Bulls will not guarantee him a contract for next season - even if he does want to play state cricket.

Queensland selectors - who have been loyal to Symonds for over a decade - now have genuine reservations about picking him.

They won't cut him loose. He'll play for QLD this season, unless he retires just to play IPL.

On the other side of the spectrum, a natural aptitude to money with green coming to signify money and possibly even *********!

Considering they barely have any FC standard batsmen, why would they not pick a Test standard batsmen.

Because he doesn't want to be there. Even his Qld teammates, according to Robert Craddock, said so last summer. If he plays for Qld at all it will be in the shorter forms of the game only.

Come to the Redbacks then! His ability in the Big Ba$h, thus helping a team to make the CT, would be worth it alone.

Talk in today's papers that Queensland would look to impose conditions on him too, and that Symonds would have no interest in playing for them if that were the case.

I don't think South Africa would need him.

    Hence 'most'.

And to be fair, you'd have to consider whether they would have wanted him either at his peak, or from the start of his career, not as he is now at the washed up end of his career.

By those criteria, considering the teams they've had since, say 2002:
    England
    WIs
    NZ
    SL
    and prob. Pakistan
plus of course Zim and Bangers would have had a spot for him, or had him well and truly in the mix for the team.

That's seven of a possible nine = most.

SA and India are probably the only ones he clearly would not have been able to break into as a test player.
