Indoor Ice Cricket

Nice. I think they play cricket on ice in Northern Europe when the lakes freeze over in Winter. It'd be gold to see a game on one of the Southern Lakes; but I doubt they'd ever freeze thick enough.

Or ever freeze, for that matter.

There are a few small lakes around Alexandra which freeze enough to be used as natural ice rinks, but they are inconsistent at best.

That's what I thought. I'd heard there were some smaller lakes down there used for ice skating. The only time I've been in Otago in mid-Winter, it was about 15 degrees celsius. I think that was in August a good few years ago (7, I think?)
