    Abhay Sharma

Is currently playing for Haxey in the Lincolnshire League Premier Division.

Apparently "India's Third Choice Keeper". I didn't buy that.

Can anyone with more idea of the Indian game than me fill in?

If his India's 3rd choice keeper at 34 I'll be highly surprised, going by some of the names in the list by Langeveldt.

Here's the Cricinfo profile for him Abhay Sharma

Decent record but as Rich says at 34 unlikely he's gonna play for India now.

He hasn't played much cricket actually. I'm guessing they don't play nearly as much in India as England (as is the case everywhere to be honest) but he's only averaged 6 FC and 4 List A matches per year.

I don't think he was ever in contention of a place. He has been in the Ranji Trophy for a long time. Actually only heard his name a couple of years back as he the captain of Railways and that team made the final. I don't know how they judge that he is the 3rd keeper. Certainly the names mentioned by Langveldt are above him easily.
