Frank Tyson, going to have to re-think my tactics. Most of top bowlers seems to be banned or taken.

I think the point about Jacques Kallis being criminally underrated is made...

Somerset is up for round 3.

I'm out of town for the next few days - i should be able to get on with my iPhone and if so will be able to get on at least one an evening to check. If I'm not on tomorrow night at any stage, that probably means I can't get a signal. Simon mentioned before that he might help out running it - I'll see whether he's able to cover for me if I can't get on.

Would have selected Kallis, but thought he would have been taken.

Based on Kallis still being available, I'll actually go for Ian Botham rather than Imran.

Everton Weekes

He shouldn't be available but banking on everyone picking modern batsmen and modern bowlers. It won't work, atleast one person will know their history and have batsmen heavy selection.

But we might need two or three people like that.

We've already covered that there were players who were voted for who didn't make the final cut.

Also, in a shortlist of thirty players Weekes should be there, but might not, depending on who picks the list. Weekes has a very impressive record, but not one that is without holes. Some people don't rate him as highly as others.

Well my tactics for the first two rounds were to get a spearhead to my quick bowling attack and a quality spinner.

I rate Kumble as 6th on my all time spinners list behind (in this order):

Warne
Murali
daylight
O'Reilly
Grimmett
Benaud

Given Warne and Murali are almost certainly banned, Grimmett and Benaud already taken I went with O'Reilly and when he failed, Kumble was next on my list (being late in the draft for this round didn't hurt at all IMO because I could make an aggressive pick without much penalty).

My original plan was to pick Benaud up in round 2, hoping that people would forget just how good he was, but alas, he retired from commentary at the wrong time and was one of the first picked.

Damn he just logged off.

Edit: Since I'm not going to be on for the next 12-15 hours I'm going to post my top two choices now, if Michael takes the top one I'll have the second one.

1- Ken Barrington

or (if Michael takes Ken)

2- Herbert Sutcliffe.
