Each person will be randomly assigned one of the top 8 nations and must select 3 members of their team from that nation, each person must also select one and only one player from each other top 8 nation. They must also select one player from Bangladesh/Zimbabwe (in Tests) and any ODI playing nation in ODI's. You can select whichever nation you want whenever you chose, and much like the batsman's power play you are given the option to remove as many top players from your nation as you can. All players must have debuted 1979-present (in the form of the game selected).

e.g.
Test - ODI
SL - SL
SL - Aus
SL - SL
Aus - Eng
NZ - SL
Eng - WI
WI - NZ
Pak -Pak
SA - SA
Ind - Ind
Bang - Zim

12 hours to choose before skipped.

The order is up to the discretion of whomever is playing, serpentine?

Updated :)

I will now randomly draw your main nation and the first round order, (how the rest will be drawn is open to suggestion?)

In a massive curve ball, I'm given my least favorite team and the team I'm least equipped at selecting for. Damn you mystery draft!!!

chaminda_00 - New Zealand
bagapath - West Indies
Somerset - South Africa
Michael - India
Nufan - Sri Lanka
Precambrian - Australia
Matt79 - England
Athlai - Pakistan

(This is also the order for first round selections)

Now remember you have to select 3 and only 3 players for both Test and ODI teams from your assigned country, and one from each other top 8 ODI nation (and also 1 from the minnows)

So Chaminda picks just one player now? And does he have to select his New Zealand players first or can they be at any time?

Chaminda picks his Test player and one day player who can be the same though don't have to be.

Also he can choose when he selects his New Zealand players, there is no order into when you chose your 3 home nation players and you can do so whenever you like (when it is your turn).

Basically all you have to do is make sure they debuted in 79 or after (I miss Imran :( ) and that you pick 3 of your nation, 1 from each top 7 and 1 from a minnow. :)

Edit: Also when you select a player for Tests he is still available to others in ODI's and vice versa (unless you select him for both)

Ah ok thanks for clearing that up. :) Its going to be very interesting to see what strategies people decide to use with this format thats for sure.

Should hopefully force people out of their comfort zones and should hopefully see some early aggressive picking strategies as talent pools could dry up fast!

So are we picking one team which will play both tests and ODIs? Or a team for tests and a separate team, according to the same conditions, for one dayers?
