An early economical spell from Akram and Marshall and a solid 10 overs from Shakib was all that kept this game in the favor of the Avengers. Nick Knight paced his innings wonderfully, yet everytime the 79ers were turning the tide they lose another wicket. While they lost they went down in a blaze of glory, absolutely destroying Fanie de Villiers 10-0-84-0. One of histories most economical bowlers.

Knight continued his excellent batting form in difficult conditions. And then Shane Bond took the scalps of Gilchrist Kallis and Collingwood to secure his team victory with a dominant all-round performance, Mendis and King played a decent cameo in choking the life out of Somersets chase and Klusener's innings was too little too late.

With so little to chase it was mostly a waiting game for the Predators, after two scares early on, Ponting and the champion from the semi Pietersen led the Predators to a comfortable victory.
And after losing their first two matches the Predators have went on to win the Mystery Cup.
