Hopefully Geeves is injured enough that he misses the Pakistan tour:dry:.Siddle for the WIN!!!.I honestly don't get why he wasn't in the squad in the first place.

Edit: Looks like my wish may come true:happy: Yay (I'm a monster)

Australian coach has said that Lee won’t even be rushed straight back into the side for the Pak series, so Aus will probably have to call up a seamer now. Probably, House given his going to the UAE but I see Moises is in South Africa...

Lee wouldn't be risked. White is Australia's Albertus, I'm surprised he doesn't get more of a go.
His not. White is a top order batsman for his state/county but is used as an end of innings slogger by Australia. A job which White can do but only after his been in for sometime. Albie can hit sixes from literally ball one and doesn’t bat any higher than six for his franchise.

Rofl looks comfortable in the international arena and he shows why he averages 20 in List A. He bowled full, straight and even got turn in the rough. I'm looking forward to the time when Albie and Rofl bat together in the batting powerplay. SA spinning stocks are more than ever now. Botha, Rofl, Tahir and Harris all possible successful spinners.
A spinner (left arm chinaman) to keep an eye on for the future is Thomas Kaber. His an all-rounder just turned 16 but he broke most records going at school (Affies - AB, Rudolph, Kuhn, du Plessis’s school…), already played U19 cricket for South Africa and provincial cricket for Northerns. So his a Titans boy for the future and they and coach, Richard Pybus love a spinner.

I think the fact you have Warner at the top makes a mockery of things straight away...it would be good to see Hughes there though and get one of the other guys down the order.
Warner could still do better than Clarke at the moment. At least he could hit a few boundaries. Clarke needs a dropping to wake himself up.

It was a pretty good effort but not really comparable to some of the capitulations under lights because the curator had basically shaved all the grass from the pitch and Punter said at the toss that he didn't the ball to do much under lights and it did nothing. Note the seamers took no wickets between them. In constrast Ntini went nuts in 2006 when the ball wobbled everywhere and he is not a noted big swinger of the ball.
Yeah that's true but it's still far more difficult to pick the ball up under lights and time shots well. The advantage wasn't as pronounced as it has been but it's still definitely there and 260+ was an above-par score so there's no use bagging the batsmen.

Of course it is when only one of them scored any runs.

Good move by the selectors to bring Stuart Clark back, not sure how much of a difference he will make. Really improved as a limited overs bowler over the previous year before his injuries.

Can still see Gibbs or AB taking him over mid-wicket a number of times.

Sekectors won't give a rats about his figures as long as his pace is something like pre-injury levels and he gets through unscathed.

He's unlikely to play in the Port Elizabeth match but is a chance in Friday's finale according to reports today.

He could, and Clarke could come out and score 100 next innings. On the other hand both of them could get ducks.

Harwood to play? He's been added to the squad according to Cricinfo.
Pretty strange that he is likely to be favoured over Laughlin, who is going to the UAE but Harwood, a 35 year old isn’t and of course is likely to not play in the next WC. You might as well summon back House from Aus, as at least his touring the UAE and apart of Australia’s future plans. They also got Cam White in the squad but he can’t play because he isn’t apart of the squad for the Pakistan series. It doesn’t make much sense. Stuart Clark is even a doubt for the game on Friday…

Given the chronic lack of spin resources in Australia shouldn't they be getting Cam White to really crack on with his spin? They surely can't expect to win the next WC with Hauritz and Dussey?

Don't see how we'd win the World Cup more so with Cam White's part time spin.

Hauritz ten overs is enough spin, our other bowlers can perform well even if it's a pitch suited to spin.
