Nicholas mentioned players like Miller, Imran, etc. who were the greatest of their eras and said Kallis has been head and shoulders above the rest in his. Pretty sensible to refuse to compare across eras I'd say. You don't have to look a million miles away to see why.

One solitary run in the past five overs - for those of you watching, is it as hard for the batsmen as it sounds, or are they just being very defensive due to the team's precarious position?

Nah completely agree with it. Johnson can't attack the stumps to RHBs as well as the other two so get them from both ends while the ball's still new.

The ball's only moving a touch. But they haven't got a ball that deserves to go for runs yet, Australia have been bowling so well.

They are both struggling to get bat on ball.Kallis looks very hurried, not comfortable at all.
