12 week ban then as it was cannabis, ends just before Christmas.
Bans for recreational drug use are more about setting an example as a professional sportsman (a role model) and as part of a team/squad. You expect certain levels of behaviour. There are commercial reasons as well.
Meh, Cannabis shouldn't even be illegal anyway.
As for bans for recreational drugs - As long as a drug isn't a performance enhancing one, then I don't really care, it's up to him what he chooses to put in his body. If the guy wants to smoke a joint, whatever, I don't see the problem.
International 'All Star' XI playing the second of two T20 games in Karachi today. Nantie Hayward 42* off 16 balls at number 11, with part-timers bowling at the finish. 8-) Clearly these are just exhibition matches, but there's a symbolic value in getting international cricketers - even some who are a bit long in the tooth - to play in Pakistan again, and I hope the matches have had good attendances. From little acorns ...
apparently the matches were played to full crowds.....upwards of 35K
Figured this would be the best place to find you guys - Eid Mubarak!

south africa vs aus.. major disappointment.. one sided matches.. both test matches..
