Prediction thread

Since I love looking through old prediction threads, thought it would be neat to keep a track of some players today. Most of the prediction threads i came across were for a particular series, not a general career statistics that I am going for.

here goes,
Mendis statistics as of 1/6/09.

Code:
Mat Inns Balls Runs Wkts BBI BBM Ave Econ SR 4w 5w 10
Tests 4 8 1237 606 33 6/117 10/209 18.36 2.93 37.4 4 2 1
ODIs 18 17 813 486 48 6/13 6/13 10.12 3.58 16.9 3 3 0

Love's a fool's dance, as prediction is a fool's game.

Sorry, just had to quote that wonderful line. :p Seriously, I don't often do this absolutist prediction lark TBH.

I kinda agree with your numbers. I predict a test average of about 23-24 and an ODI average of 18-19. But I think his economy will be 4+. Can't see a bowler keeping an under 4 economy rate the way pitches and batting approach is nowadays. It's kind of flattering now cuz he's only really played against minnows and a handful of games against India and Pakistan on helpful pitches. He'll get more expensive as time goes on but he'll continue to be a wicket-taking bowler. I sort of imagine his ODI record will pan out like Saqlain Mushtaq's and his average will be surprisingly low for the rest of his career whereas his test average will slowly creep up as time goes on and probably end up at around 25-26 when he retires.
