Where, for the love of Homer Simpson, is Michael Vaughan? :O In all your teams even the reserves.

Hayden and Gibbs are more experienced, and both sublime fielders, and Vaughan is not...

There are too many players at the moment that could make it into a World 11. I suggest you just leave it to Wisden to make a mess of it.

McGrath (G) at 7, surely he meant McGrath (A)?
You wish

And you complain when someone makes too much of performances against the weaker nations...

Test XI

1. Hayden
2. Vaughan
3. Ponting (vc)
4. Lara
5. Tendulkar
6. Kallis (c)
7. Gilchrist
8. Pollock
9. Muralitharan
10. Bond
11. McGrath

I realise that Kallis is not even captain of SA, but he would be an ideal choice for this team full of egos and talent.
He would bring new ideas, and as the world's leading all rounder, would have the skill to hold his own.

Test 11
1 Matthew Hayden
2 Justin Langer
3 Ricky Ponting
4 Sachin Tendulkar
5 Brian Lara
6 Inzamam Ul Haq
7 Adam Gilchirst
8 Chaminda Vaas
9 Muttiah Muralitharan
10 Shane Bond
11 Glenn McGrath

Most players pick themselves, I went for Langer as i believe partnerships play a major role in cricket. hayden flourishes while batting with JL and vice verser. There are no 2 better openers in the world while those 2 are togther.

I find it crazy that here we have people picking Inzamam (he's also in the top 10 ranked batsmen) yet Pakistan don't think he's worthy of playing international cricket again.

He must really have an attitude problem towards other players, I also heard he's made minimal attempt to control his weight because you can't just leave out a damn good batsman like him without some really major reason.

Take out Inzamam and put in Dravid instead, and you got yourself a team.

I like Kenny's side. Bond is probably the only problem I have with it. I'd pick Gillespie instead but it's a close thing.

inzamam has to stay, hes the kind of batsman that can turn a game during his innings, i narrowed that last spot down to between him, dravid and kallis. all have their pros and cons, but inzy is the most naturally gifted batsman of the 3.

I'm just not sure how you can leave kallis out of a world XI -

4486 runs @ 50.40

137 wickets @ 28.60

64 catches.

Inzy - good bat on his day........tempremental, liability in the field.

But Bond is one of the top pacers currently.

I fully agree. Kallis is class but for some reason some people don't seem to like him....

Inzy - usually more a liability to the batsman at the other end.

But don't you love him anyway? I think Inzy puts bums on seats.
