Somerset County Cricket Club were asked for their thoughts on the matter.

A spokesperson for the club said "We are deeply disturbed that Cricinfo and Ananova are permitted to use the name of one of our players in the scorecard without prior permission. Richard Johnson is currently enjoying a fly-fishing holiday near Warminster and is nowhere near Chester-le-Street."

I then asked them about trout, but the spokesperson warned me about approaching Gladys the tea lady without an appointment.

Need both types - or even better, you need a bowler to be able to produce both types of delivery at will.

The look on Johnson's face was priceless when he bagged Tibbly.

Can't be "Giddo", "Giddo" only took 5 and less expensively, can't be "Jimmy", "Jimmy" only took 5 and more expensively, can't be "Corky", "Corky" took 7 and got his hat-trick. Nah he'll just have to be "Johnno" who took 6 and didn't get his hat-trick.

It was, it was the 7fer on debut and the hattrick on his second game. I remember turning on about 3 minutes into the days play to see him bowl the hat-trick ball, having unwittingly missed the previous 2!
