Jesus may have played cricket as a child, according to an ancient Armenian manuscript that has a passage describing how he played with a club and a ball, ‘The Age’ of Australia has reported.

Dr. Abraham Terian, a visiting professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as Fulbright Distinguished Chair in the Humanities, has pointed to the rare manuscript from the 6th century as his source. Terian discovered the manuscript more than a decade ago in Jerusalem, according to ‘The Age’.

“He (Jesus) would take the boys to the seashore and, carrying the playing ball and the club, he would go over the waves of the sea as though he was playing on a frozen surface, hitting the playing ball,” the newspaper quoted the translation.

“And watching him, the boys would scream and say: ‘Watch the child Jesus, what he does over the waves of the sea!’ Many would gather there and, watching him, would be amazed.”

Would love to know his first chance average.

It's a case of mistaken identities I think it was Jason Gillispie who they must have seen.
