Is The Yorker underused in test cricket?

12 attempts at a yorker, and assuming only 20% come off you get about 2-3 sucessfulo Yorkers and if the batsmen blocks even half of those anyway you end up with only one wicket from a yorker per Test match
But we are saying that 12 yorkers are successful, not 12 attempts. So from what you said that is 4-6 wickets off yorkers

haha, yeah we should definitely be telling bowlers to limit their yorker usage.

"Sure Timmy, you can bowl a yorker, maybe two or three or even five. But no more than 6; that way madness lies."

Hehe.

Batsmen have probably gotten better at playing yorkers since the advent of T20. But yeah they probably are underused a tad. Everyone loves to see stumps cannon out of the ground after being hit on the half-volley by a 93mph Steve Harmison special.

To be fair though, if Lasith Malinga wasn't injured the question might as well be "Is the yorker overused in test cricket?"
