Netherlands win by 19 runs. Well played by them - fantastic bowling and fielding to keep Kenya in check.

Kenya are going to have a real uphill battle from here on in as Netherlands looked clearly the weaker of the three European teams coming into this tournament. It will be a real battle to qualify now.

Why on Earth was Tony Suji in the starting XI?!?!

He was not used as a bowler and is set to come in at number 10!
A complete waste when you have David Obuya who could have come in at 3 and given a much stronger batting line up.

24 needed off the last over. Can't see it happening. Not happy
It is wierd. David Obuya is only around as a reserve player. On the other hand even though that XI looked a batsman short, they should not have paced their innings so poorly

Whats aga now playing for kenya he is an englishman now  .
Its just a passport.

Dissapointed with Scotland, 2 loses to Ireland in a row now. Need to come back strongly.

Holland 97 all out to Canada... really not looking good for the Kenyans - or for the batting of any Associates...

Canada squeak to 98/6.

Could mean this

Code:
Netherlands 1-1 2p +0.376
Kenya 1-1 2p +0.375
Canada 1-1 2p -0.757
assuming Kenya win by making 150 and restricting Canada to 116. Would be a tad bizarre for Canada if that happens, beat the group winners and get knocked out.

I am putting Kenya's loss down to a poor management of the pace of their innings. They just did not get going at a sufficient pace to chase 150

He can be picked now to play for england so he is english, why is he being picked for kenya.
He was born in Kenya, learned to play cricket in Kenya and has captained Kenya at both junior and full International level as well as helped with . I would say we have a much larger claim to his services than England.

Regards the passport - this is a problem that has dogged many professions in Kenya. Without getting overly complicated, it is more convenient for a Kenyan living overseas to get a foreign passport. Unlike most countries that allow dual citizenship, Kenya doesn't - so we lose many of our best and brightest who can earn more overseas than they can in Kenya. Talk to most of those people and they will still consider themselves Kenyan, they just happen to hold a foreign passport.

Going to the final, my boss gave me a couple of tickets from a dirty little corporate deal of some sort. Hoping Ireland will be there :)

Lucky bugger. Wish my boss would do that - it would cost him considerably more mind you with the air fares

Nemi Odhiambo in for Collins Obuya and Tony Suji gets a bowl.

Canada reeling at 50/6 off 10 overs

The Real Kenya finally turn up...

about time - great fielding by Tikolo for the 5th and 6th wickets.
Suji not only getting a bowl but showing that he desreves it too.

I think Collins Obuya was injured in the first game. Not sure how or how bad. Does give an extra bowling option should we need.

Ok...but it does leave us short in the Batting dpeartment. Only 4 specialist batsmen (if you count Tikolo as a specialist batsman)

True - though I think Odhiambo may be used as a pinch hitter. Also, there are several players there who are all rounders. Odoyo, Aga, Suji, Kamande are all fairly handy with the bat.
