The dream starts have been:
Yamin Ahmadzai (3) 0 1 2
JM Holland (4) 0* 1 2* 3
Abu Jayed (3) 2 3 4
SW Poynter (2) 0 1

Of course who knows whether they will play again.

I noticed something curious about Ireland. 3 Tests so far, 3 different wicket keepers and all 3 have made a duck in their first innings as keeper.

I feel like the all-time leaderboard should be dominated by bowlers or all-rounders more than batsmen. Or players who gradually moved up the order when the team management realized that their batting was better than they thought at first.

It seems overall quite varied as once i get to SL and Pakistan, youll see Lakmal and Sarfraz high. The keeper with weak tail seems like a decent way to keep bettering your best.

Ive become weird actually wait.. Ill go with "obsessed" when someone gets close to their best. I go from hoping they get a NHS to wanting them to get out straight after surprassing it :)

Hope Holland doesn't play again. Completely **** the bed in the UAE, Marnus genuinely looked a better bowler

as at 17.08.19. I should probably use the Sri Lankan full names as its not always easy to tell the difference between MDK Perera and MDKJ Perera.

Lakmal with a GOAT performance so far. Second on the list with a top score of 42 is crazy good.

Lakmal has playing this game the whole time. He's hungry for the record.

I still don't support the same score but not out being counted as a new highest score though. Maybe if it was worded as "best score", but the same score isn't a new "highest score"

Jedi, what would you rather if you were batting?

Get clean bowled for 27 or be 27 not out? Theres your answer.

As I said though, that's a better score, but the wording used is "highest" score. It's an incredibly minor thing to nitpick, I know, and it doesn't much change the point of the exercise either way.

Ultimately I think it's because if you look at what a player's official high score was, and it was 2 and then he gets 2*, it changes in his official stats. So that's a new high score. I think it helps if you treat "high score" as cricket statistic with specific and established rules rather than just treating it literally. Otherwise "fifties" would be highly debatable too (inb4 OS).

The higher score is whichever innings had more boundaries ofc

This may have been answered, but is Karun Nair’s going to the highest first time highest score? Hard to see that being beaten.
