Vale Jane McGrath

I saw the McGrath's interview on Denton again not so long ago and she was an amazing woman. It was obvious they had a wonderful relationship and my thoughts are with Glenn and his family. I had no idea she was so ill, hearing that she'd died really floored me.

Well, without wanting to derail the thread, it looks like the cancer didn't get her but complications/infections from surgery, hence the sudden turn of events. She certainly wasn't going into into cachexia last time I saw her on TV or in the news, looked quite healthy really.

This sucks. Other celebrities can play out their relationship soap operas and play around all they want and nothing happens to them yet, just over a year after retiring to spend more time with her, a relationship which was pretty low-key and appeared to be harmonious ends due to death. Just seems unfair.

Echo everyone else in the thread so far, very sad news. Thoughts go out to Glenn and his family.

Whatever it takes!!!
Absolutely horrible news. As people have commented here, it just seems so unfair to see what seemed to be a wonderful marriage end this way. Life just seems so unfair at times.

My thoughts really do go out to Glenn. I was recently rejected by someone I do love quite a lot and have been feeling horrible about it. It can only be a million times worse for Glenn McGrath, to lose out on someone whom he loved and more importantly who must have loved him. I pray the Almighty to give him and his kids the strength needed to get through such periods.

RIP. :(

I feel sorry for you, for I know how rejection (by anyone, really) feels.

On the actual thread topic, I debate what is more tragic - succumbing to a disease when you ardently want to live (which, sadly, is what happened to Jane), or remaining alive despite losing the will to live?

Yeah, life really sucks sometimes, doesn't it?
