Poll: All-Rounder for the World Cup Dream XI

10 players have scored 200 runs at batting avg > 20 and taken 10 wickets at bowling avg<35 in World Cup matches against Eng, Aus, Ind, Pak, Sri, NZ, SA, WI and Zim. seeing Symonds has been overlooked for some reason, I voted for Waugh.

    You know why.

Imran pretty easily, especially given those stats. Obvious choice for captain as well...

McGrath, Warne, Imran, Akram and Garner would be a deadly five man attack. No need to ever bring in anyone else.

since McGrath, Akram and Warne are already in, along with someone like Garner slated to come in .... the all-rounder position is critical

the Q of a batting all-rounder or a bowling one becomes obvious .... with such cool bowling options, i thought abt the one who is slightly more batting oriented, wins the close games batting down the order as well as bowl well

of that list Klusener fits the bill perfectly. his bowling when at his peak was pretty good, along with his fielding

someone like Dev, who hit that super 175*, along with bowling and fielding well, comes 2nd, imo

    Klusener, it is
    Fastest gun in town

Sorry for this as I've little interest in a team that blurs 1970s\80s ODIs with 1990s\2000s ones - but why on Earth would anyone pick one all-rounder when you could quite easily pick all three of Imran, Kapil and Klusener and your team would be stronger?

Andrew Symonds could only dream of his bowling being remotely good enough for serious consideration for ODIs, never mind eclectic-team stuff.

Wanted to go with Klusener, but Imran strengthens the attack so much. Could easily play as a specialist bowler.
