International Regular
Touch choice between Murali and Warne. Murali has more wickets but Warne has a better average and SR, and has been arguably been more destructive (especially in 1999 against SA and 1996 against WI). There is also his batting to consider too, if it comes to that. Warne for me.

PS. And yes, no Saqqy?

Not Terrible
IMO Jayasuriya would come in the top 5 ODI spinners in the least 10 years, easily.
Not a chance.

Last Ten Years Spinners

Murali 341 W @ 21.11 econ 3.72
Vettori 204 W @ 31.64 econ 4.13
Harby 184 W @ 33.42 econ 4.17
Sanath 177 W @ 37.73 econ 4.65
Hogg 153 W @ 25.94 econ 4.52
Gayle 146 W @ 31.99 econ 4.65
Kumble 146 W @ 36.25 econ 4.55
Warne 143 W @ 26.83 econ 4.38
Salqain 133 W @ 24.89 econ 4.28

Sanath is 4th on the wicket taking list despite playing 41 more matches than the next player (Murali) and 60 more than the next (Vettori). Only two names on that list have played more matches in that time than have taken wickets, Gayle 179 M 146 W and Sanath 255 M 177 W. While Jayasuriya is a fantastic part time spinner he is certainly not top five material. Latter top ten perhaps though.

My list of ODI bowlers in the last ten years

Murali
Vettori
Hogg
Warne
Salqain
Harby
Kumble
...The Rest

Even my personal hero has a better record currently than Sanath, taking 36 wickets @ 33.52 from 29 matches, the only blip on his radar being an economy of 5, mainly due to him often being used in powerplays or the death.

I reckon anyone mentioned on my list is pretty hard strung not to get a spot in this poll, Vettori and Salqain's exclusion in particular (though Vettori does have a rather shocking WC record to date).
