Tendulkar and ME Waugh. Drop Junior for Gilly come the final.

Junior was a colossus in WC '96.

Gone with Gilly and Jayasuriya, two of my favourite opening batsmen in the OD game.

Gilchrist and Tendulkar. Yin and Yang in a way. But both of the elite ODI fraternity. Simply the best openers of the game.

Sachin and Gilchrist.

They're the openers in my all-time ODI XI, so will obviously open in the WC.

See, I thought that too, but then I read the other thread.

If we're only allowed to factor in World Cup games, I'd be inclined to go with Anwar ahead of Tendulkar.

Rather optimistic of the Poll setter to believe that people would only vote for two options when it's possible to vote for as many as you want.

Well, someone has already voted for all of them. When you set the poll you can set the number of votes it's possible to cast.

Tendulkar and Gilchrist.
