Actually I am not sure we deserved to beat Australia at home in 86-87. It was an incredibly crappy bowling outfit which just wasn't capable of taking 20 wickets in Indian conditions. For example in the tied test Australia managed to take 20 wickets but declared in both their innings. At that point of time India had a better chance of winning test series in Australia and England than in India.

Says a bit when Greg Matthews and Ray Bright are outbowling you, though, it really does. :mellow:

Was merely meaning that India somehow managed to tie a game they should've won easily, though, TBH. India had that chase managed, but somehow it slipped.
