MAXisms

This is for those who have had to suffer MAX's coverage of the IPL. Please add to this list.
  1. Commentary is on. Fans are trying to soak up the atmosphere. The Godrej and Ceat jingles play.
  2. The ball gets hit for a six. Or should I say, a batsman in the middle changes his bat. Cut to an ad, which plays in full, and blocks part of a delivery.
  3. Anchor Shiv Pandit says it's time for a break and then is overheard (imagery on screen) "do we have a break?"
  4. We then see the make-up man on the screen.
  5. The scorecard is set back by five runs and then starts ticking ahead.
  6. Srikkanth - enough said.
  7. The ball is running toward the boundary- and we go back to the crease.

- The air-head broadcast team, might be solid eye candy but goddamn they can be clueless at times. Ajay Jadeja's presentation skills and constant flirting with Lekha are hilarious though. Lekha asking crowd members at a Deccan Chargers home match if the team have much Telugu support.

JUST ON: Samir Kochhar says it's time for a break, the break bar comes up, and then he's staring blankly at the lens for 20 seconds. He's still waiting for the indication, and hen he realises that we're all watching him staring ahead.

Two more:
  1. Chennai v/s Punjab. Bat hits the ball. Ball and camera then travel at a high speed in opposite directions.
  2. This was seen on screen to keep viewers hooked during the rain delay before Bangalore v/s Kolkata
    Stay tune.

There was that dreadful segment in that match before Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Shonali Nagrani was asking wives of three Super Kings totally stereotypical questions that don't even deserve a mention.

And in the recent Daredevils v/s Kings match, echoes were heard in the studio.

One more from yesterday- in the post-match analysis after the Chennai-Rajasthan match, at the start, we saw some unidentified, sneaky, attention-seeking fans rise slowly from the window behind the anchor.
