0:
1:
2:
3:
4:
6:
Wickets:
Sundries:

and of Sundries...
Wides:
NoBalls:
Byes:
Leg Byes:

The only way that a person can get such stats, without researching for hours, is to guesstimate.

To get an exact number would literally take...um...a long time. Almost impossible in some cases.

You could do this:

You could follow games over the next couple of weeks and figure out stats for those games, and just multiply the amounts by the number of matches ever played. It'll give you a rather accurate estimate.

Atleast for ODIs...
Test cricket is a lot more aggressive nowadays (in most cases), right?
But take a little, give a little and you should have a close number.

No Australia matches...:D They're just abnormal ;)

Depends what form of cricket you are making the sim for.

An easy one for the wicket is to look at the strike rates of top bowlers. Is it for international cricket or state or club? Country : 1.5%, County/State : 2.5%, Club : 4%. Very rough guesses.
These are only estimates (Test cricket) from me. Feel free to disagree.
0: 50%
1: 25%
2: 10%
3: 5%
4: 5%
6: 0.5%
Wickets: 1.5% (Aussies 0.01% )
Sundries: 3%

I have all the stats for myself for the year.
This is in Test cricket.(2 day). All is rounded

0: 43%
1: 30.5%
2: 4.5%
3. 4%
4: 7.5%
6: 0%
Wickets: 2.5%
Sundries: 8%

Of Sundries:
Wides: 5%
NoBalls: 20.5%
Byes: 0.5%
Leg Byes: 74%

Now that took me ages! Going over all the scorecards.

Hmm, analysis of PY's estimates:

100 balls leads to:

25*1+10*2+5*3+5*4+0.5*6
=25+20+15+20+3=83 runs per 100 balls
=just shy of 5 an over

Too high scoring..

I've just changed it.. I had it wrong....I was taking about 120 runs off 100 balls.. usually my strike rate is 80....

My 2 day strike rate is higher than my one day strike rate. They put more slips in which means I get more gaps that I can hit through.
Also in my club competition we have to declare by 60 overs in the first innings (because it is only 2 day). Because of this the first innings is always like a one day game. For example my last 2 innngs were 25 off 30 balls and 52 off 58 balls.

English test side - average SR is like 45, the aussie is like 57 or 58 :)

mine is usually around 90-120 (aiming at the `120 end) which is probably why i dont score that many runs any more :(

Thanks for you input...

I'll quickly say this... It is for TEST CRICKET, sorry for not stating that straight away...

Anyway here is my theory...

0: 75%
1: 15%
2: 1.5%
3: 1%
4: 3.5%
6: 1%

X: 2%
Sundries: 1%

Therefore it is roughly...
1 / 42 per 100 balls

maybe it is a bit low... so more theories are welcome.

THANKS RICK!

1: 17.00
2: 7.00
3: 0.50
4: 2.00
5: 0.01
6: 0.50

Total: 43.5

Extras: 4 (LB: 2, WB: .4, B: .4, NB: 1.2)
Total: 47.5 per hundred balls

1.6 wkts per 100 balls

= 1 wkt per 62 balls

= average innings score of around 290 from 103 overs

Nah, I'm just making a sarcastic comment. Every time I see Hayden get out it's to a slog.

Getting out to a slog doesn't indicate that the innings is full of slogs, does it? Besides a full-time slogger just can't be as consistent as Hayden is.

Did I not make it clear that it wasn't serious?
