Went KP, Sanga is world-class but I think KP has potential to be an all-time great which some reason I don't think Sanga will ever be regarded as.

Extremely tight to call though, and I would be lying if I said I hadn't let my nationality get in the way of some reality. :p

And does someone want to crack a joke about me not being South African before it's too late?

 You ARE kidding aren't you?

(Yeah, I know you probably weren't, because otherwise your post would've been more obviously-in-jest, but I'm astonished TBH)

Had never grouped you in the Pitt-Corrin camp before either TBH.

To be honest, having a contrary opinion to you gives me some comfort in it's reality. :p

Yeah like... the World Cup...

Sorry, but even though I obviously like Pietersen and want him to do well, c Smith b Nel was just so funny it had to be laughed at really, as if you could pick one combination you'd imagine KPP would not have wanted to be getting out to, that'd be it.
Best moment of the World Cup for mine. Just a shame Graeme Smith is still nursing the injury which he experienced whilst taking the catch.

Incidentally, KP's pretty good mates with Nel.

Actually it's an interesting topic - who I'd rather watch between the two. Sangas is beautiful to watch, probably the most attractive batsman in world cricket, but there's just something about KP, the aggression, control and general audacity when he's on song that makes me never want to get up when he's batting. I'm a massive fan of style and correctness, but the later category just pips it in what I enjoy watching more. Can watch both play all day though.

Indeed there's something about Pietersen in his ability to compartmentalise aggression and control that very few have - where the Vivian Richards comparisons come from, obviously.

He's still got plenty to do if he wants to reach the levels Richards attained, and of course he may never face bowling of the calibre Richards sometimes did. But not many could attack Muttiah Muralitharan with the hints of permanence he managed at Edgbaston in 2006.

They're both gun batsmen, and from their overall career records its hard to set them apart. But of late, Sangakarra has just shown us such a high level of productiveness and consistency that it can not be ignored. If there was another good wicketkeeper-batsman waiting in the wings, then I wouldn't hesitate to play him as a specialist batsman, but as it is I think that Sangakarra can be very useful in the wicki-batsman role and offers Sri Lanka an understated flexibility in that capacity.

Pete Young = Aseem Sharma for my money.

And I wonder if anyone other than Aseem Sharma can decode that post.
