India and Pakistan, sooking about World Cup Format

http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/ci-i...ry/333662.html

basically the article says that india and pakistan want to change the format so if they stuff up once they have a second change and to go back to the 2003 format.

persoanlly I would have 15 teams of 3 groups of 5 with the top 2 in each group going to a super 6 stage.

associated team will get 4 games one more than 2007 world cup but not 6 has the 2003 format had plus the super 6 stages has 4 matchs instead of 3, meaning it is less likely a Kenya could scrape throught the super 6 stage to the semi finals

One of the points someone else raised in this discussion:

In a tourney, would you have elimination rounds at the beginning of the cup? It is usual to eliminate teams after round league. Not vice-versa.
