Interesting piece of commentary I noted when flicking by earlier.

Bond bouncer to Sangakkara which passes him at twice his height and goes through to the keeper at head height.

The ball was not given as a wide for some reason?

First wide of the over? Since when were wides called dependent upon when they are bowled?

But surely a ball that the batsman can't hit in his normal stance (and 5 feet over his head is hard to hit) is a wide?

I'm surprised the Lankans didn't go after it. 'twas just 6 an over, and with the batting lineup they have, it's possible, to say the least.

But Murali sure showed the Kiwis what he's made of :wow:

No Marc...

In this case, the Umpire and the Bowler's End would call "No Ball"
