And 2 minutes later, he's out. D'Oh!
Always going to happen really, wasn't it? :)

And Marc, Somerset are sure-fire to beat Gloucester :)

I'll agree with 5/6 of your other tips but I quite fancy Hampshire. Not sure why, and will probably look a tit come Monday :)

Somerset are 41/6 after Gloucester managed 203 in the first innings. :(

Oh dear, oh dear... John Lewis has 5/16.

Mushtaq Ahmed with 6/20 recorded the first five-wicket haul of the season.

And Lancashire - 301/2 - are well on top against Surrey :D.

And the winner of today's 'LMAO' award goes to..... Surrey.

For about 4 hours today, every sports news bulletin on Sky started 'Surrey this, Surrey that'.

Once Sky realised that their darlings had Lancashire tottering at 300-2 or so, they shut up.

Latest .... Lancashire continue to struggle - now 361-2

Tribute to Richard Johnson:

Somerset were 6/36 when he came in, by close they were 6/175.

Johnson has hit 106* off 84 balls, at one point he hit 45 runs off 17 balls. Quite magnificent.

Given that his career HS is "only" 69, it looks even better, and that no-one else managed more than 42 on the day, and Rob Turner at the other end hit a very stoic 33* off 99 balls...

Hero of the Day!

Maybe he'll get that England cap he deserves now? :)

How bout Johnson replacing Steve Harmison or Matthew Hoggard, or a fill in for Andy Caddick.

God knows all the above cant bat at all, and Harmison cant bowl on the pitch.

So someone like Johnson who looks like a good bowler (when ive seen him playing for somerset) and a pretty decent bat (from what ive heard today) could replace one of the above.

And Dazzler's Back too today!
Did a good job too, 3/40 something for Yorkshire

Well the England squad is likely to have Harmison, Anderson, Caddick and Hoggard there, Simon Jones won't be fit till near the end of the season and I think they'll wait and see if Gough lasts a bit longer. Please someone knock it into them that whilst Harmison "appears" to have the potential, Johnson has the ability. He bowled pretty well on the India tour too and yet Ormond got the Test spot :!(

Harmison may not be able to but the other 2 can battle away, and besides that, they're not picked for their batting.

I also find it very amusing that people are suggesting he's selected after he scores a century, but he's a bowler!

No, its just that having a good bowler, with some sort of batting ability only strengthens the side and adds more balance.

Mushtaq Ahmed gets 11 wkts for Sussex!! wonder why isn't he considered for selection for Pak, he's much better than Danish Kaneria .
He picked up those wickets against a University team. He should be judged only after he picks up wickets against County teams:P
