Chappell-Hadlee series

Better get it kicked off.

11 Dec 2007 Australia v New Zealand WACA (T20)

14 Dec 2007 Australia v New Zealand Adelaide Oval

16 Dec 2007 Australia v New Zealand Sydney Cricket Ground

20 Dec 2007 Australia v New Zealand Bellerive Oval

Tips? Australia generally don't care about this usually.

Australia will take the first couple fo games very seriously as they'll want revenge for last year. Wonder how much Hogg's performances here will come into play in his Test chances. Seems he has alot more to lose than he does to gain with these games imo. If the India series was next week he'd be playing with MacGill out 'injured'. But if he gets tonked in the C-H series...

Big question is who will break down first Bond or Watson? Backing both sets of selectors to rush both back into the side and both to break down in Twenty20.

Bond to faint in sweltering 15degC heat at Christchurch airport and break an ankle as he falls over his luggage trolley, thus ruling him out of the series.

Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Symo
Clarke
Hussey

Some of the best ODI bats in the world.

Vs.

Vincent
Uhh...
Fulton
Styris
Taylor
Oram

Should be interesting, the attacks though are seeming closer if Bond is fit.

Bond + Mills + Vettori + Patel + Gillespie/Mason/Franklin/Oram/Styris/Ghandi

Lee + Clark + Bracken + Johnson + Hogg/Tait/Hilfey/a dozen other Aussies better than a Kiwi equivalent.

:)

McCullum > Gilchrist in Wicket Keeping ability lately IMO. Take that Australia! A debatable opinion on a smaller aspect of the game where there is no clear gap anyway!

NZ > Aus EASY.

Yeah we got drubbed in the last C-H series so this series calls for revenge, C'mon Aussies its time to humiliate the black caps :naughty:, but isn't the C-H series meant to be a annual tournament but didn't the last one took place just 6-7 months ago.

NZ can win 20/20 (who cares it aint cricket) the balance will be closely fought withAussies coming out on top

Don't see the point of this thread really. Hardly anyone will rate the Kiwi's chances, and if they do win, there'll be some excuse as to why it wasn't a fair contest, like last time.

Same. Ronchi needs to be given a go. Same with the Pommy Basher (If his suspension is done by then...)
Nah I think that the Pom Basher need another year or two in state cricket first. Noffers on the other hand (if fit)....
