Who would win a test series between NZ and West Indies if play started tomorrow?

Who would win?

New Zealand.

The Windies bowling is just laughably bad at the moment...While NZ's without Bond isn't a whole lot better, they'd still have the edge because of guys like Fleming and Vettori. Both really bad sides though. Really bad.

Interesting question. WI have just been bad for longer and despite NZ getting hammered in SA, its not an easy place to go and win at.

Eh, you scared me here Gelman. Soooo many bad memories. :scared:

NZ FTW I guess, but it could easily be close. WI certainly in with more than a decent shout at Bridgetown or Sabina Park.

If it started tomorrow, then I believe Bond and Franklin would be out.

WI could give us a run for our money.

Patel FTW.

With Bond, Franklin, Fulton (and maybe Cumming?) out of action, I'd be backing the West Indies. Their bowling may be poor, but their batting lineup of Ganga-Gayle-Smith-Sarwan-Chanderpaul-Bravo is actually quite good are far superior to whatever New Zealand would pick. New Zealand's bowling wouldn't be too great either without Bond and Franklin.

At full strength with the correct selections, New Zealand would win, but as things stand now, I'd be backing the West Indies for sure.

With Ganga - New Zealand
Without Ganga in New Zealand - New Zealand
Without Ganga in West Indies - West Indies (or a draw)

West Indian batting would not cope with Kiwi green tops - Iain O'Brien, Chris Martin and any other Kiwi bowler would clear up.

Tougher in the West Indies; though the Windies would win if they drop the dead wood.
