Most ‘farcical’ finish to a cricket match

Thanks. Very interesting read!
"The TCCB responded by calling an emergency meeting of its disciplinary committee. Eight days after the match, that committee voted to expel Somerset from the competition by 17 votes to one. Even Somerset supported the motion, with Derbyshire, for reasons known only to themselves, the sole opposition to it."
Lol @ Somerset supporting their expulsion from the comp.
Strangely, there were no objections among the Somerset boys at the time.

Surprised this one hasn't been mentioed yet - the 1981 Australia-NZ ODI when Trevor Chappell bowled the last ball underarm.(on his brother's orders of course)? Or on a similar vein, the 1979 B&H cup match when Somerset declared after 1 over?
Yeah, most jackass finish to a game. Fortunetly, Chappell didn't last much longer as captain.

There was one between West Indies and England a few years ago that was abandoned on the first morning because the wicket was deemed too dangerous.

Yes, Sabina Park 1998. That was just a farce full-stop though, long before the 1st ball until long after the last.

Most of farce games have taken place sometime ago but the recent World cup final between Australia and Sri Lanka has to go down as one game that had the word farce written all over it from the moment it started it was surrounded with controversy from the very begging, first an important game like the World cup got shortened (thanks to the rain) then there was Gilly's squash ball controversy, then due to some **** officiating both teams were made to complete the game in darkness and it all happened in today's modern time on such a global stage.

Kenya A' s recent tour of Zimbabwe had a game end in rather farcial circumstances as The opponents got taken oof for bad light two runs short of victory in a FC match

I was seven at the time and remember the game vividly. The phrase 'Rip Snorter' was used on several occasions and watching Walsh and Ambrose bowl on that pitch was a treat. Getting balls to bounce head high off a length and then dart either way off the wicket just looked funny.

Haha. Wasn't funny for the batsmen, at all, though. Atherton and Hussain both talk at length about said game in their autobiographies.
