Until something happens for more than a single game we can't really say it's either TBH.

How many consecutive series though? And was referring more to Tests though.
Are you serious?! At what point did Powell ever even resemble a first-class cricketer, let alone a Test cricketer. He's not even in the same league as Dwayne Smith in terms of batting talent. Far more problems than shot selection for him really.

Is the signal of West Indies diving deeper into the abyss or is it a sign that Zimbabwe is improving?
It's hard enough for the best of teams to gear themselves up for a game against Zimbabwe these days (see Australia in Twenty20). So for a lazy and lackadaisical team such as West Indies, it was always likely to happen.

You're probably right.

Windies already 1 down Smith gone 13/1 (6.3) Zimbabwe playing very well, this is gonna be a cracker of a series I feel or it could even be a romp by Zimbabwe  . Windies need to step their game up.

Zimbabwe 112/0 @ 25 overs

Plus no Chanderpaul for the Windies, anything over 250 and i think Zimbabwe levels the series

Credit to Cricinfo- Is the biggest opening stand in Zimbabwean ODI history (and its better then their test record as well). West Indies look to be in a real game here, could regret resting Chanderpaul?. Ebenezer’s Price and Utseya will relish his absence.

South African squads to face the West Indies in the coming weeks.

Firstly the Makhaya Ntini Invitation XI- Ntini, Smith, Gibbs, Kallis, Jonty Rhodes, Pollock, Boucher, Pieter Strydom, Henderson, Adams, Mfuneko Ngam.

Ashwell Prince and Neil McKenzie pulled out in favour of playing domestic cricket; Paul Adams and Tyron Henderson are their replacements in Makhaya’s benefit game.

RSA 20/20

Graeme Smith will captain the side or if he does not recover from illness Morne van Wyk will be his replacement, Pollock will captain if Smith doesn't make it. Kallis, Nel and Boucher are 'rested'.
Squad- Smith/van Wyk, Gibbs, Duminy, AB (w/k), Bodi, Pollock, Philander, A. Mørkel, Botha, Steyn, Ntini.

And finally after the 20/20, the West Indies take on South Africa A in East London...Human is studying for his exams so he isn't available whilst Lonwabo Tsotsobe is being rested under CSA High Performance directives. 'Firebrand' and the apparently the new and improved Monde Zondeki (has a new action) takes Lonwabo's place.

Captain- McKenzie, van Wyk (w/k), Petersen, Ontong, Duminy, Bodi, Philander, Zondeki, Botha, de Wet, Langeveldt. 12th man Robbie P
