To be honest....u r seriously crap.....Why dont u get the s*** out of here? BTW, keep your sick credits with u as who needs it? No one is looking for a credit from a certain crap called aussie_26.
fine go and give your side credit and let them get ahead of themselves AGAIN, just like they did in the world cup

India are a good side that should perform well over over a long period of time to get credit

But its not been bounce that has repeatedly gotten his wicket in this series.
Yeah, you're right it's probably only the 2nd innings at Perth which could maybe be attributed to bounce. So, I'm not sure if it's bounce that causes him problems. In my post, when I said 'the problem being there for quite some while', I was referring to his looking great for a while at the start of his innings while defending and getting out out of nowhere when starting to play forcing shots. It's been noticeable since the WI tour.

Mate tell u what, they won a match and they celebrated as they rank this win very high as it is.....What makes you comment now that they should have done this and not that and should'nt celebrate and all that? Why are you just dissecting this win..They won and celebrated, as simple as that. What happened in the past and what will happen in the future......leave that to the indian team....

well whats the point of this forum ? for people to have there opinion and mine is that india and alot of other sides are guilty of getting ahead of themselves, they just won 1 match thats all not a series. They did say themselves that they were aiming to win the series and they have failed

Iff india want to truly be a great side and not just a 1 month wonder than they need to change there attitude

Ganguly averages 44.28 in ODIs over the last year but have you considered his fielding and running between the wickets? You can have your view on the tradeoff there but at least consider the other side of the story. Did you ever consider the need to start the transition at some point? Do you want Sachin, Sourav and Rahul to retire together and find our team suddenly screwed because we didn't prepare for the situation early enough? Just keep all of that in mind. By the way, here's the squad that I would have selected:

Ganguly, Tendulkar, Dravid, Yuvraj, Badrinath, Raina, Sharma, Uthappa, Dhoni, Pathan, Kumar, Bhajji, Chawla, RPS, Ishant, Sreesanth

Getting past selection issues, we've got eight matches in this tournament so that's a great opportunity to try out as many people as possible. Hopefully Dhoni rotates everyone instead of adopting an XI and sticking to it.
I dont get the "youth sometime" argument either. Else it should've been applied right after the momentum of the T20I world series - when the same Dhoni was in charge. Instead we went 'back to the past' against Australia in India and are now going back to the future against Australia (and SL) in Australia when the mometum is with the test team.

Dravid, I can somewhat hesitatingly grant you. And like Laxman a few years before, the larger interest prevailing over a particular individual.

Ganguly is different, not only because he's performed in ODI's throughout 2007. But also because he is one half of the opening team. You are disrupting that as well. Probably the thinking there is to go back to Tendulkar+Sehwag?

The other thing I have with this 'youth sometime' argument is that it could've been applied six weeks later, in the ODI series against BD. This is still in Australia. Lee and Clark could probably have the Gambhirs and the Rainas for breakfast. Wait, Lee and Clark had Gambhir for breakfast right after his spectacular T20I World Series success, in India too. He was dropped after 2 games IIRC.

Oh really??? Even i heard that the aussies were going to win the 17th. Never happened. A fast bowler faster than lightning was brought to tear away the Indian batting line up. Never happened. So baby, it always doesn't go the way you plan it. And if they are hell bent on not changing their attitude, i mean the indian team, then what's the big problem with you? Fine. And won't it be better if you wait till the Adelaide test and save your comments. Anyways, that day even some more members were desparate to get rid of you i guess....

as i said before since i have been watching cricket i have seen australia win 3 world cups and only lose 2 test series plus the fact that they currently hold on to every single test title thats available to them so they obviously dont have an attitude problem, where as every other side basicly has a few good months than they get ahead of themselves and have a bad few months.

I dont have a problem with the indian team at all, ofcourse i support australia but I dont hate india im just offering my oppinion

Fourth test changes

Assuming Hayden is fit, he'd obviously be in the side.

But do you give Tait another chance to prove himself on his home ground (on a pitch where he's swung the ball a hell of a lot in domestic cricket), or do you play Hogg?

If Hayden's not fit, do you go with Rogers again or would you like to see another player come into the side - Katich or Hussey, perhaps?

As for India, what do you do about their opening dilemna? Stick with Jaffer? Try Dravid again? What does this mean for Harbhajan?

To be totally honest, why not begin the transition with Tendulkar itself??

If we want to prepare for the future, then i would definitely start from taking Tendulkar off the list too, the way it should have been is with both Experienced players and up coming youth players as there are quite a few games in this series.

Hogg for Tait, given the nature of the Adelaide wicket.

You'd have to stick with Rogers imo. Much as D Hussey and Katich have batted well, opening is a specialist position. Wouldn't have too big a drama though if they pushed M Hussey up and brought either his brother in or Katich.

You haven't addressed fielding and running between the wickets, which become especially important in Australia - in that regard, Dravid and (especially) Ganguly fall behind Gambhir and Sehwag - and probably played a role in the selection. That said, I'm not going to make a case for either Gambhir or Sehwag because I don't think they have a future in the one-day side. The unfortunate part is that Ganguly was replaced by a deserving Raina but they could have made that move simply by cleaning up some of the waste in the squad and still kept Dravid and Ganguly in there. You're also right about waiting for another series - considering BD and ZIM are next, that would have been the ideal time to bring in the youth.

Dravid and Ganguly would certainly come first because unlike Tendulkar, they are poor between the wickets and in the field (in one-day cricket). Otherwise, I agree that they should have gone with a mix of experience (and that means Dravid and Ganguly, not Sehwag and Gambhir) and youth.

Hopefully people like Gambhir and Sehwag either get completely owned or do very well on this tour, so we know that they're either good enough in ODIs (unlikely) or can discard them for good.

There is no contesting the fact that Ganguly is a poor fielder and runner between the wickets. In a recent interview even he admitted as such. But in many of recent Indian ODI's, the start from Ganguly+Tendulkar seemed to be the biggest determinant of success and one fielder is worth hiding for that IMHO. I think India is going to miss this start, and it is sobering to think of Sehwag falling early and Gambhir coming in at #3. (Also falling early, and then Yuvraj, his test failure fresh in memory, coming at #4 - unmitigated disaster!!)

Raina has done well in the domestic and India A rounds(not sure of India A), but dont recall IndiaA playing quality opposition too frequently in the last one year.
