    Disappointed in India here.

Sure the early luck did not go there way but from there they got frustrated with it and let show in body language and the way they bowled, Zaheer aside. The fielding was very bad, below the standard expected by first grade club cricketers in Australia for a couple of them.

No confidence they will get Australia out for anything less than 450 now.

Wish I'd gone for Dhoni in me dream team now, bet Gilly won't need to bat here...

Great start for Australia. Good opening partnership. Congrats to Jaques for a well compiled 57, Australia will be pleased with their efforts after batting early.

I'm only hoping India front up with the bat. But one wicket and anything could happen.

Sorry, "polishing a turd" just means an impossible or thankless task where the raw materials one's working with are of such poor quality any success is going to be negligible. As in "you can't polish a turd to a shine".

The fact is that most of India's better test players are 30+, mostly with long-term injuries that need managing. They can improve, obviously, but I don't think Laxman or Ganguly are ever gonna be much cop.

I bet India would like some of the rain that is happening right here on the Gold Coast.

I'm right in assuming that Australia have been dominant? Just tuned in at the start of this session.

What's up with India playing only 2 seamers and instead picking 2 spinners??
Anyways great start by our lads, Haydos and Jaques going really well hope they convert this start into three figures.

Just seen some highlights and it seems India were unlucky early on.
