If they take 5 bowlers you should win, because you said 4 fast bowlers originally.

After Zaheer, Sree and RP - probably Munaf and Pathan are the best on offer right now.
They've given Munaf a try in the 1st test, hope Pathan gets a go in the second (his batting is a nice plus, especially if India needs to plan for middle order collapses in Australia).

well, Hogg is already in the squad (or, was... whatever)... I meant the replacement for MacGill in the squad....

I am not as foolish as I may seem......
We miss you, Fardin. :(. RIP.

That's not a negative. Munaf will be better in my opinion. Assuming, we can field an attack of Zaheer, RP and Munaf - that's about as good as we can realistically expect.

won't be sure of that.... I know it may not swing that much in Aussie conditions but Sree hits the seam a lot more regularly than most bowlers and in places like Melbourne and Perth with the bounce, it might have been a handy thing......

Until Munaf puts up a performance like this (first innings):

or atleast like this (2nd innings):
    http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/engv...ch/258468.html

he'll always be after Sreesanth and RP in mindshare. It is possible for him to put together a string of lesser performances consistently to change this, but that's not really been on offer either (even in domestic FC).

Can see a tour of Australia being a disaster for both S and Munaf in their current states TBH, have never thought S was that remarkable ITFP, and Munaf is patently not right, even if he was off the no-balls in his most recent run-out.

I hope they both miss it and Pathan goes - at least he's unlikely to amount to much either way, so won't lose anything from 3 for 350 in the series.

So has MacGilla been ruled out of this series or is there still some chance of him playing against the Indians, if he misses this series then i can't see him breaking back into the Aussie test side unless the guy who takes his spot performs awfully.
