is this tournment really required? with the popularity of 20/20 growing this would definatly loose appeal.

Its basically a day of fun and frolic and drinking and celebration in Hongkong like the Hongkong 7s rugby played there.

Cricket is just only part of the fun...mostly its a day of Fun for the mostly British and other expats in Hongkong....Cricket is not taken very seriously ...although it adds to the Fun.:)

Most Test playing Nations teams will finish in the Prize winning zone- so they stand to win US$ 5,000 upwards based on final position in the tournament...with maximum being US $100,000.

how is hong kong sixes played?
It's 6 a side cricket, with everyone but the keeper bowling, so you get 5 overs per innings. A good over is anything under 15 really. Batsmen retire at 30, but can come back if enough wickets fall. It's all over very quickly, and all in good fun.

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Can you please post the score ?
I don't remember. I just woke up and was a bit groggy. Will post it if they show it again.

Meanwhile, McGrath starts off with a big wide and is smashed for a four next ball. Not happy with himself.
