he is not the first and unless something is done about how mauch say Associates and Affiliates have in ICC policy warren Deutrom will not be tha last.

Bangladesh were brought through without meaningful preparation to compete on the Test leve and Kenya were at risk of ending up the same way in 2003. the intercontinental Cup has plenty of potential but ast it stands it is not going to achieve it if it remains as an end in itself and not a path to test cricket.

Asia Cup:
Group A:
India (3)
Bangladesh (9)
Afghanistan (15)

Group B:
Pakistan (5)
Srilanka (7)
+1 Qualifier ACC Trophy

Afro - Euro Cup:
Group A:
South Africa (1)
Ireland (11)
The Netherlands (12)
+1 Qualifier ACA Trophy

Group B:
England (6)
Zimbabwe (10)
Kenya (13)
Scotland (14)

Americas - Oceania Cup:
Australia (2)
New Zealand (4)
West Indies (8)
Canada (16)
+1 Qualifier from Americas Region

I know it sounds crazy but its better to have such tournaments than sense less "Champions Trophy" every 2 years. I also know there will be lot of one sided games but soon the game will expand & one would see more competition.

I have little doubt that the Afro-euro cup will be swept under the carpet.

i disagree, it may be unpopular, esp with the Test nations, but it brings in much needed $$ to the ACA which is used to promote the game among the African Associates and Affilliates. Change the format of it by all means, but bring it back!
