Saeed Anwar would be close. Wasim Akram would make my team but I know he's a W for you. Zaheer Abbas and Azharuddin would have to be close or ahead of Ames..

Yeah, with my teams I've always used the "second" name, regardless of whether that is their family name or not - just as a consistency thing. Besides, it makes Q a lot harder.

T would be a wonderful team to watch - it would have one of the scarier pace attacks ever, plus the incomparable (to watch) Trumper and Tallon.
Trecothick
Taylor, M
Taylor, H
Tendulkar
Trumper
Thorpe
Tallon+
Trueman
Trumble/Tayfield
Tyson
Thompson

One of the more 'rare' ones, The Y's. Its easy since there isn't too much choice. Thank God there is a keeper and in Norman Yrdley and Brian Young some one to bowl with the new ball

Unlikely to beat anyone except the X's or the Q's
  1. Young, Bryan
  2. Yallop, Graham
  3. Younis Khan
  4. Yuvraj Singh
  5. Yashpal Sharma
  6. Yardley, Norman
  7. Yadav, Vijay
  8. Yardley, Bruce
  9. Yuile, Bryan
  10. Yadav, Nandlal
  11. Young, Harding

Eleven players exactly (six of them Pakistanis) with names starting from Z have played in tests so they select themselves but believe me they have three who have opened batting more than a couple for opening the bowling and two wicket keepers !! I am playing Tim Zoerer as a batsman since the other keeper Zulquarnain would be an embarassment as a batsman

  1. Zulch, John
  2. Zahoor Elahi
  3. Zaheer Abbas
  4. Zahid Fazal
  5. Zulfiqar Ahmed
  6. Zondeki
  7. Zoehrer, Tim
  8. Zulquarnain
  9. Zaheer Khan
  10. Zakir Khan
  11. Zoysa

Absolutely. As a keeper he is surely amongst the 5-6 greatest of all time. Many consider him THE GREATEST.
