I will do a series of polls, 1 for each test playing nation (now including Zim and Bangla + a combined associates poll) to see who you believe is the best all rounder of that country. I will then place all of the poll winners in another poll, to determine who the worlds best all-rounder is.

This poll will end in 1 week.

As mentioned above, this is the Poll of Winners.

Pollock - usually very good with the ball and reliable for at least one or two good performances with the bat in a series. More than can be said for anyone else on this list.

Spongebob.

Odd considering the best from each country as the nominations, I feel the likes of Pollock and Kallis would both be better than many other countries 'winner's'. Neverrmind you got Pollock in there.

The message gets posted, then i have to do the poll, it does take time.

I added Shaun Pollock as the number 2 from South Africa due to popular demand

Kallis without a doubt. He is the best player on the list.

Apart from that he is vitaly important in terms of team composition.

A Kallis makes the team as a specialist batsman but also allows a team to play only 4 bowlers with him making up any difference, taking useful wickets and capable of being used as a main bowler.

This lengthens the batting line-up and improves the overall strength of the team.

With someone like a Pollock, his batting is a useful bonus but the composition and nature of the team isnt dependant on his skills with the bat.

Lose Pollock and its possible to slot in another seamer (with an obvious downgrade of course)

Lose Kallis and the whole team has to be rejigged.

Kallis possibly the hardest player in the world to find a like for like replacement for and his allround skills are crucial in the setup and aims of the SA team. Far more so than a Pollock is.

As for Flintoff, he is incapable of bowling enough overs to be considered a stable frontline bowler and hasnt justified a top order batting position. In many ways he is the anti-Kallis as his selection (in recent times) causes more issues with team composition than helps.

Pollock the closest to a true all-rounder in there IMO. Kallis a batsman who bowls and Flintoff, these days, a bowler who (occasionally) bats.

You're also the first Englishman to vote Flintoff. :-O (Well, Nishant's partly English I suppose)
