With another SOFT injury to Watto, this bloke seems chronic and should stop wasting CA's time, tbh. Go home, go back to playing on matting, give it up. It's over.

However, he'll be on CA's books for another 37 years.

Fiery won't be back until he's un-banned, which I suspect won't happen without a sincere apology.

He just needs to sort his bowling action out. Obviously his body cant take the strain as it is now.

You wonder whether he might have an underlying problem like Nathan Buckley did as well - he might need to consider exploratory surgery.

BTW, I like that that link comes up with an ad for Halo3 on the page, with the slogan "A Hero Never Dies - BELIEVE" - fits Watto nicely IMO...

He should sit out the next few tours and play some state cricket, build up some undamaged muscle. If it means sitting out a whole summer of international cricket to get his back and hammy's right in Pura Cup then so be it.

But that won't happen because he's petrified about losing his place, and fair enough.

If he can perform to the level we know he all can in Pura Cup, he should have no such concerns.

Yeah but what if Hopes comes in and does well? Or McDonald or whoever? If I was him, I'd be worried about my spot security and fair enough, because he's never had a permanent spot in the side long enough without an injury concern. If all of a sudden someone like Hopes does well then the selectors may think "well, he's doing a good job and his leg isn't going to fall off every 3rd match"

Watson will be back, but as specialist batsmen. I can't see him last any longer as all rounder, a batsmen who can bowl some part timers at best. At the end of the day I and many rate Watson a better batsmen then any young Australian batsmen coming through outside Jaques and Clarke.

Both Mark and Steve Waugh started off as all rounder, probably more batting all rounders then Watson. But once they stopped bowling, their batting really took off. I think Watson has to do the same, its not like his bowling adds anything extra to side out side a preferred balance.

Australia have Moses, so there is no need for two all rounders anyway.

The kid is 20 and hasn't done anything except stand-out at U19 level. I'm not denying he has talent, but comments like yours will ruin him.
