Infact Kenya have more points than Bangladesh

Kenya - 20
Bangladesh - 10

Kenya are better than Bangladesh on their showings in the past three years. Bangladesh have the one win over Pakistan in WC 99 (and that was quite possibly fixed) whilst Kenya have fought hard and beaten and run teams close reasonably consistently.

As for England, India, WI and NZ... just goes to show how close teams are and how much luck may well come into the WC.

I was always more in favour of Kenya gaining test status rather than Bangladesh because I think Kenya have some pretty good players considering their cricket system.

But there must have been a large reason why the ICC were against Kenya & fore Bangladesh.

1 Dalmiya as ICC President wanted a greater subContinent voice
2 Better infrastructure and support for the game
3 The Kenyan Government doesn't officially recognise the Kenyan Cricket Board as a National Governing Body

Three Reasons.

4. Kenya at that stage had absolutely no domestic cricket system. They did not play frist-class, just one-dayers.
