Hussey v Ponting

Will Hussey ever be able to overhaul Ponting in terms of status as a batsman? In outright numbers he will never catch up cause will never have the same number of years playing but could he pass him in terms of quality?

Just not enough time for Hussey really. My two favourite players in the Australian side though.

Well if he plays for 5 more years and keeps his average where it is now he'll overhaul just about everyone, 70odd tests with an average of 70 batting in the top 4.
But I dont see that happening.

Ponting for the last 5 years has been what Hussey has for the last 2.

Simple as that.
