This is unbelievably stupid.

A power crazy media whore like Bracewell isn't just gonna give up some of his selectorial power without a fight... Silly silly silly.

Yeah, he's far too pig-headed to do the job properly. Vaughan is new in the job and must have been reluctant to use the broom but needed to show bigger stones imo

Especially when there's a good number of top quality coaches available right now - obviously John Wright would be a favourite for the job, but Dave Nosworthy, Dav Whatmore, Duncan Fletcher.... There's a load of 'em out there who are much less objectionable than Bracers.

I don't think Bracewell did badly enough to not get the job. The Blackcaps are rated 3rd in ODI's and that is where they came in the WC. Maybe the alternative - John Wright did not want such a full on and thankless job as this one.

Looks like 2 more years of 'operation screwloose".

It would be a breeze compared to the India job, surely

Don't say things you can't take back Heath
At least he can't be picking Harmish Marshall now I guess.

I'll take a look at the next squad picked for the test team, and if James Marshall is anywhere near the squad, then Bracers is gonna get a visit from me.

Then I'll watch the Phoenix

**** no, Fiery... Those 38 runs were tough! I had to grind those out against Auckland, facing the fearsome attack of Chris Pringle, Chris Brown, Mark Haslam, Justin Vaughan and Aaron Barnes. Together, me and Chris Nevin nearly avoided the follow-on, and under current rules, we would have avoided the follow on. Shame that neither Nevin nor Jonah could stick around long enough to see me to my fifty.
