Scoring averages for teams (or runs per wicket averages) for each decade?

I want to know how many percentage points the pre-Great War runs per wicket was below what it is these days.

I have been to Cricinfo but no luck.


Can anyone tell me where I can find these stats? Cheers.

You could try www.howstats.com but you may have to do some maths yourself.

If you choose Australia -> 1950s as the decade -> Cumulative record, I get http://statserver.cricket.org/guru?...led=0;bowlevent=;submit=1;.cgifields=viewtype

which gives the Australian batting average as 30.9 and RR as 2.48. Isn't this what you are looking for ? (Of course, it is hard work doing this for each decade individually)
